Day 01: Delhi: Welcome to Incredible India! Arrive at the capital city of India and check in at your hotel. Remaining time is at leisure till next morning.North India at a Glance
Day 02: Delhi: After breakfast proceed for the sight seeing tour of Delhi. At first, you will visit Shahjahanabad (Old Delhi) covering Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid (2nd largest mosque of India) and Humayun’s Tomb (all 3 monuments are UNESCO world heritage sites). Later in the 2nd half, visit Lutyen’s Delhi (New Delhi) and see India Gate, Parliament house, Bahai temple and drive by President’s house.
Day 03: Jaipur: Post breakfast, you will be driven to reach at the Pink City of India i.e. Jaipur. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Evening free to walk in colourful old bazaars located in the old walled city.
Day 04: Jaipur: Post breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur including City Palace Complex, Amber Fort & Jantar Mantar Observatory (a UNESCO world heritage site). After brief leisure, you may visit ‘Chokhi Dhani”- an ethnic village resort. It is an excellent place to enjoy Rajasthani dishes and to observe village lifestyle & culture. Here you will also have the option to enjoy Camel ride, bullock cart ride and Elephant ride in very nominal cost.
Day 05: Agra (Via Fatehpur Sikri): Morning drive towards Agra visiting deserted capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar Fatehpur Sikri en-route. Arrive Agra, check in at the hotel. Later take a sightseeing tour of arguably the most beautiful monument of love the Taj Mahal – the most photogenic building in the world. Taj Mahal was made by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his pretty wife Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit historical Agra Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site). From Agra Fort, four of the mighty rulers from Mughal dynasty ruled their enormous empire in Indian Sub-Continental. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Orchha: Morning transfer to Agra railway station. Travel by train (2 hrs) till Jhansi and then by road to Orchha – a virgin historical site picturesquely located by the banks of Betwa river. The place with its beautiful palaces and thematic chambers is still almost untouristic. Visit the Fort, Raj Mahal palace, Raj Praveen Mahal Palace, Jehangir palace and the Royal Chhattries (cenotaphs) during the day. Also visit Raja Ram temple – the only place where Lord Rama is worshipped as a king.
Day 07: Khajuraho: Morning transfer to Khajuraho. Arrive Khajuraho, check in at the hotel. Later visit Western Group of temples. The temples of Khajuraho built by Chandela rulers are world famous for its architecture and the carvings on Kama Sutra. These temples are listed as UNESCO World heritage sites. Evening enjoy Sound & Light Show (which is highly recommendable). Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Khajuraho – Varanasi: Morning visit the Eastern Group of temples and newly excavated Chandela temple. The temples of Khajuraho are very different from other temples of India. These temples of Khajuraho are not about religion and Gods instead known for the eroticism carved on the walls of the temples in the type of sculptures. Afternoon transfer to Khajuraho airport to board a flight to Varanasi. Varanasi is one of the oldest and living cities in the world. Arrive in Varanasi, transfer to the hotel. Later visit one of the many Ghats of Varanasi to witness the evening Aarti – an unforgettable experience. Stay overnight at the hotel.North India at a Glance
Day 09: Varanasi: Early morning transfer to the Ghats of Holy River Ganges to take a holy boat ride – a very spiritual deed. After breakfast explore the Varanasi visiting Kashi Vishawanath temple, Banaras Hindu University, Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple and various other attractions located in the narrow lanes. Later take an excursion to Sarnath here Buddha delivered his first sermon to the world. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Delhi departure: Morning at appropriate time you will be transferred to Varanasi airport to board a direct flight to Delhi. Tour ends.
